YouTube has passed 1 billion hours of videos watched per day, watchtime on TV increasing rapidly

author-pic About author
Val okoye is a professional blogger who gives review about cheap data bundle and latest cheat,Tech News, How To's Make money online. Etc

YouTube is no pushover. It's a gargantuan platform for content creators and, odds are, there is something on there for everyone to enjoy. Personally, I watch stuff there more than on Netflix, Hulu, or Plex — it's usually about something involving video games. Turns out that all of us who watch YouTube collectively view 1 billion hours of videos per day. Think about that for a second.
Watching on mobile accounts for about 60% of watchtime versus other platforms, which isn't all that surprising. I don't like watching videos on my phone, but I will in a pinch. The more surprising number, however, comes from TV watchtime. It's increased by 90% from people who watch on their game consoles or streaming devices, making it the fastest growing YouTube viewing segment.
1 billion hours of videos watched per day? That's mind-boggling.

Play Protect brings Google's app scanning to the foreground in the Play Store

Earlier this month, we covered the inclusion of "Play Protect" Today, Google formally announced this feature as part of their efforts to double-down on security.  Boasting the fact that their machine learning algorithms scan over 50 billion apps each day, Google emphasized the importance of security on the Android platform.

Before appearing in the Google Play store, every app undergoes Google's security screening process which includes identifying malware and ensuring that apps conform to Google's policies. Play Protect continues that process by scanning billions of apps daily to make sure they remain safe and in compliance.
Play Protect's appearance in the Google Play app is Google's way of bringing their existing screening process to the foreground of your experience. Using the new Play Store, you will see when your apps were last scanned. Google says it works around the clock, constantly updating to keep up with the latest threats. Play Protect goes hand in hand with the other-deceptive-ads/">safe browsing feature
in Chrome and today's announcement of Find My Device.
Google clearly wants its users to feel safe in knowing that it has an automatic process in place not only in the background but on your device as well. For all the details, follow the source links bellow.

YouTube mobile streaming is open to all, no longer has a subscriber requirement

The ability to Go Live on YouTube (not to be confused with the entirely unrelated YouTube Go)previously required that you have 1,000 subscribers, and before that the requirement was set at 10K. In a bid to compete with other services, it looks like that limit has been dropped further, all the way to zero. That's right, now everyone can Go Live on YouTube without any subscribers. The only requirements are a verified channel and no live stream restrictions in the last 90 days.

The new feature is found via the FAB when you open the YouTube app. Give it a quick tap, and you'll be taken to a screen from which you have the option to either record, as normal, or Go Live with streaming content. Make sure your account is verified, or you might not see it. There might be a roll out of some kind since it isn't on my phone quite yet, but our own Artem sees it on his.

I watch a ton of live content on platforms like Twitch and YouTube Gaming, and I really think that big platforms like Twitch are going to change the nature of entertainment by removing a lot of unnecessary junk from the process of content distribution. Right now they are mostly just used for streaming games, but as more and more money starts to flow into the pockets of content creators, bigger names currently dependent on cable networks for distribution might start to realize the advantages of striking out independently. I'm really excited for the future of live content platforms in specific and digital distribution in general. These changes to YouTube's policy for Go Live are going to be great for content creators, and that's great for consumers.
If, for whatever reason, you don't have the app, download it over at Google Play or APKMirror and get to streaming. And remember, it might be live, but a little preparation might go a long way.

Telegram 4.0 brings the full launch of the Instant View Platform, bot payments, and video messages

author-pic About author
Val okoye is a professional blogger who gives review about cheap data bundle and latest cheat,Tech News, How To's Make money online. Etc

Telegram is my favorite messaging platform. It's secure, ubiquitous across operating systems, and feature-rich. More things get added all the time to the service, such as voice calls and themes, that bring it closer to its competitors like Whatsapp. v4.0 has landed and it brings a few things of note.
First of all, here's the changelog:
  • Video messages. Tap the mic icon to switch to camera mode, then tap and hold to record stylish video messages. Swipe up while recording for hands free mode (works with voice notes).
  • Meet Telesco.pe, where anyone can view video messages from public channels — no Telegram account required.
  • Bots can now accept payments from users.
  • The Instant View Platform is now public and will soon support thousands of websites, including your favorite ones.
Recording stylish video messages is different than video calling, which has not been introduced yet (though voice has been). It works pretty seamlessly, all things considered. There is also mention of Telescope, which is a hosting platform for video messages. This is more relevant to bloggers or those with some kind of following, and you don't need a Telegram account to view these.

Left: Recording audio message; Middle, Right: Recording video message
The big news lies in the release of the Instant View Platform, which allows you to view webpages directly in Telegram and the messaging thread. It's meant to be more seamless than even the in-app version of Chrome. It does this by re-wrapping the webpage in an easy-to-read manner. It'll show the text (duh) and any other media like photos or videos. This will work even if the page in question isn't optimized for mobile viewing.
Though it's a brief note in the changelog, Telegram has an entire blog post about bots and payments. Starting on this version, you can order goods or services right in Telegram through bots (third-party applications that run inside of Telegram) that support them. You might find a "Pay" button below some of these bots' messages; tapping it will prompt you for billing info and then you're done. Accounts protected under 2FA can save card information.

Each instance of Instant View is lightweight and cached on Telegram's servers, so it should theoretically work on most connections. The platform itself is going public, meaning that anyone can create custom templates for how they want Instant View pages to look. There's a contest going on for creating these templates; be sure to check out the source link for more information. Instant View will also come with settings for background color, text size, and font — there's also an automatic night mode (which might be limited to iOS for the time being).
The v4.0 update should be live for everyone in the Play Store, so go check on your device. In the event that you have not received it yet,
